Dear Colleagues,

We invite researchers and scientists to contribute their latest findings to this Special Issue of Nanomaterials, dedicated to the "Evolution of Nanocrystalline Structures in Multilayer Thin Films with Sensing and Biomedical Applications". This Special Issue aims to explore the dynamics of nanocrystalline structures within multilayer thin films and to showcase cutting-edge research at the intersection of materials science and biomedical engineering, exploring the evolution of nanocrystalline structures within multilayer thin films and the pivotal role they play in advancing sensing technologies and biomedical applications.

This Special Issue encompasses a broad spectrum of topics, including, but not limited to, innovative fabrication techniques, structural evolution mechanisms, and the influence of nanocrystalline features on the performance of thin films in sensing as well as in a biomedical context. It provides a platform for scholars and experts to share their insights, fostering collaboration and pushing the boundaries of nanomaterials research.

We welcome original research articles that span the spectrum of nanomaterials, from synthesis and characterization to applications in cutting-edge sensing and in biomedical devices. We look forward to receiving submissions from researchers and experts focused on the synthesis, characterization, and applications of nanocrystalline structures to provide invaluable insights into the evolution of these structures across diverse thin film configurations, structural evolution mechanisms, and the impact of nanocrystalline features on the performance of thin films in sensing as well as in a biomedical context.

We aim to publish a series of papers able to broaden the collective knowledge that will hopefully drive innovation in nanocrystalline structures and their applications.
