Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Low-dimensional nanomaterials are a class of engineered materials that have unique properties due to their unique properties such as high surface-to-volume ratio, large surface area, and tunable electronic and optical properties. These materials possess dimensions on the scale of nanometers or sub-nanometers, which are much smaller than their bulk counterparts. The atomic-scale size of these materials enables them to exhibit novel physical phenomena that are not found in their macroscopically large counterparts.

One of the most significant advantages of low-dimensional nanomaterials is their ability to bend and flex without breaking under mechanical stress. This makes them ideal candidates for use in flexible electronics. Low-dimensional nanomaterials hold great promise for the development of flexible electronics applications due to their unique properties and potential for integration with conventional electronic components. The flexibility and robustness of these materials make them highly attractive for use in next-generation electronics applications. The continued research and development of these materials will undoubtedly lead to the creation of more innovative and advanced electronic devices in the future.

The present Special Issue of Nanomaterials aims to present the current state of the art in the use of low-dimensional nanomaterials in flexible electronics, including, but not limited to, wearable devices, sensors, and electronic skin.
