Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper consider the optimization design method of high-loaded cascades considering endwall effect, and proposed two new near endwall modeling methods: bowed LESB method and endbend LESB method. Also, the modeling method of the LESB blade has been improved, so that the generated airfoil has better continuity. It developed a high-loaded cascade optimization design platform containing five near endwall blade modeling methods, and it is capable of coupled optimization toward airfoil and near endwall modeling parameters. The manuscript is well written. It deserves publications in entropy journal after minor revision. The only comment is about updating the list of references, it includes only one reference in 2021. It would be better to update as possible.

Author Response

We thank you very much for your careful reading of our paper and providing us with some keen suggestions. We tried our best to improve the manuscript and made some changes in the manuscript. According to your suggestion about updating the list of references, we have added some latest references about global exploratory method and flow control in Introduction. All revised contents are marked by ”Track Changes” function in revised manuscript.

Once again, thank you very much for your suggestions.

Reviewer 2 Report

This is a very interesting topic and the authors have conducted a sound optimization study. The paper is also generally well written with some typos (spellings, sections numbering, headings etc.) as indicated in the attached PDF file. The only issue that I have is that the authors have not presented the configuration properly when defining the geometry. Also figures such as 3, 4, 5, 9 and 10 lack complete geometric captions; this should be improved, again please see the suggestions on the attached PDF file. Finally, some sentences are not clear and should be reworded. All in all, this is a very interesting paper.
