Genetic Biomarkers and Their Clinical Implications in B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in Children
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
In this extensive review, Lejman et al., have reviewed most of the known genomic abnormalities related to acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The literature and references are fine and it seems to me that the authors have reviewed and prepared a really nice and informative manuscript. In my opinion, they have included the most common translocations/mutations that serve as biomarkers in clinics for ALL, the molecular pathways and proteins downstream these biomarkers, and current and potential therapies based on them.
I have to thank and congratulate the authors for bringing together this information and I recommend this manuscript for publication in IJMS.
Author Response
Dear Sir or Madam, thank you very much for the review of the manuscript entitled: “Genetic biomarkers and their clinical implications in B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in Children”
Thank you for your opinion, very much.
Best regards

Reviewer 2 Report
Lejman et al have written a timely and extensive review on ALL. The manuscript is well written with clear organization. Here are some of my comments.
- It would be helpful if the readers add schematic to section 2 to make it easier for the readers
- It would also be helpful if the authors mention some of the current treatment methods in the introduction section and better emphasize the need to study these genetic biomarkers
Overall, the authors have done a substantial job in writing this manuscript.
Author Response
Response to Reviewer 1:
Dear Sir or Madam, thank you very much for the review of the manuscript entitled: “Genetic biomarkers and their clinical implications in B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in Children”
In response to your comment, we would like to thank you for appreciating our manuscript.
Comment 1
It would be helpful if the readers add schematic to section 2 to make it easier for the readers
Revision and my comment
The schematic diagram was added: figure 1; page 3.
Comment 2
It would also be helpful if the authors mention some of the current treatment methods in the introduction section and better emphasize the need to study these genetic biomarkers
Revision and my comment
The sentence was added. Into the introduction paragraph: line 74-84; page 2.
We do honestly hope that it will satisfy you and improve the quality of our work. Once again, we are very grateful for your review and remain open if you have any other remarks or suggestions that will make our work merit publication in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.
Sincerely yours,
Monika Lejman on behalf of the authors
