2-(Cyclopropylamino)-5-(4-methoxybenzylidene)thiazol-4(5H)-one
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Manuscript ID: molbank-1983048
The manuscript entitles: “2-(Cyclopropylamine)-5-(4-methoxybenzylidene)thiazol-4(5H)-one”. Authors presented valuable data on the synthesis of title compound and its spectroscopic characterization. The obtained compound was also tested for antibacterial activity. Undoubtedly an interesting work, however the material needs minor some improvements:
1. Authors should correct the signals 2.78 and 3.07 in the 1H NMR description because they correspond to a total of one proton, as it follows from the spectrum in the supplementary information. (line 164)
2. Authors should correct the description of the UV-Vis spectrum, the values in parentheses is not the molar extinction coefficient but its logarithm. (line 170)
3. Authors should correct editorial mistakes, e.g.:
a. notation 10 mL in line 87
b. notation 0.754512 M in line 134
c. notation in vitro in line 176
I regret that only one compound was synthesized to the manuscript, but I understand that this is ShortNote and further research will be carried out. I will be happy to recommend the publication of this paper after this minor correction.

We would like to thank you for the reviews and constructive comments that helped us to significantly improve the manuscript. Your suggestions have been incorporated in the revised manuscript (yellow highlight).
Additionally, we would like to address some of the issues you have raised:
- Authors should correct the signals 2.78 and 3.07 in the 1H NMR description because they correspond to a total of one proton, as it follows from the spectrum in the supplementary information. (line 164)
Thank you for the valid remark. Corrected as suggested.
- Authors should correct the description of the UV-Vis spectrum, the values in parentheses is not the molar extinction coefficient but its logarithm. (line 170)
