Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript by Lin et al., compares whether fenofibrate is effective in reducing the DR in type 2 diabetic patients. The authors conclude that, long-term use of fenofibrate may decrease the risk of incident retinopathy and the need for laser treatment in type 2 diabetic patients. This work is of value to the field of DR. The manuscript is transparently presented, well written and discussed.
