Distance Learning Support Measures for Teachers in Poland during the COVID-19 Pandemic

- Technological infrastructure;
- Remote learning tools in accordance with applicable laws;
- Teachers support in the preparation of teaching materials;
- Supervision over the prepared teaching materials.
- Prepare and provide students with educational materials in digital form;
- Develop and provide students with a description of the assumed educational outcomes and methods of their verification;
- Provide students with the exact teaching plan;
- Prepare teaching materials ensuring each student’s workload during classes is consistent with the number of hours assigned in the plan and program of study;
- Regularly monitor and document the students’ learning processes.

- “Preparation of the university for the new academic year 2020/2021 in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic in connection with the end of the period of limitation of the university’s functioning”;
- “Functioning of universities during the epidemic period in connection with SARS-CoV-2 virus infections, considering the re-limitation of the functioning of universities from 19 October 2020—summary of changes in legislation”;
- “Guidelines for the safe functioning of universities and other entities of the higher education and science system during the epidemic”.
3.3. The University of Economics in Katowice Ordinances
- Connecting with a group of students/doctoral students during class hours via Google Meet or Chat, or alternative platforms for a short online meeting lasting 15–20 min, the purpose of which was to introduce students to the currently discussed issues;
- Sharing videos with information about individual classes and emphasizing the hours at which teachers would be available live in the form of online consultations;
- Using other forms of interactive communication with students.
