Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

- The introduction section is too long, so it is difficult to obtain the objective and gap/novelty of your study.

- why is line 365 until 368 written in italic? Explain it!

In the present paper the properties and the design of energy conversion in an Electric Vehicle (EV) powertrain are computationally investigated, considering also the performance of the vehicle motion (not "vehicle acceleration dynamics"). An existing EV was used as a test case.

Please define Fsf in line 318. What do you mean by global force? Provide a better description of Figures 10 & 13.

Provide a better explanation of Figure 14.

Furthermore, you should add a test case with a slope sop Fg will not be zero.

There is a formatting issue in lines 365 - 368.

Reviewer 3 Report

1. The contribution should be clearly highlighted.

2. The introduction can be enriched.  such as,

Performance assessment of battery-powered electric vehicle employing PMSM powertrain system

Adaptive Energy Management in Automated Hybrid Electric Vehicles with Flexible Torque request

3. The abstract can be precise.

4. the standard driving cycle should be adopted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, instead of a 20s condition.
