The journal retracts the article “A Critical Review on Recycling Composite Waste Using Pyrolysis for Sustainable Development” Energies 2021, 14(18), 5748 [1] cited above.
Following the publication of [1], concerns were brought to the attention of the publisher regarding the reproduction of unattributed content and significant overlap with a previously published paper [2]. The unattributed content includes Figures 3 and 4 [1], which are almost identical to Figures 3 and 5 in [2], and a significant dispersed overlap in Sections 1, 2, and 3 of [1] to the previously published paper [2].
Adhering to our complaint procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office, members of the Editorial Board, and the Editor-in-Chief that confirmed extensive unattributed overlap, especially in Sections 2 and 3 of [1]. Additional concerns have been raised by the members of the Editorial Board about unattributed overlapped content in Section 4. Therefore, the Editorial Office and the Editor-in-Chief have taken the decision to retract the paper [1]. We apologize to the readers of Energies and to the authors of the previous works.
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Prof. Dr. Enrico Sciubba.
The authors did not agree to this retraction.
