Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report (Previous Reviewer 2)

In the article, coffee grounds added PLA was produced and the obtained samples were subjected to mechanical tests. The test results of pure PLA and doped PLA are given comparatively and their advantages and disadvantages are highlighted. The coffee grounds additive improved some mechanical properties of PLA. This study has scientific importance as this may cause the new material to be used in some areas.

Reviewer 2 Report (Previous Reviewer 1)

The authors have addressed the comments and can be accepted for publication.

This manuscript is a resubmission of an earlier submission. The following is a list of the peer review reports and author responses from that submission.

Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors have addressed all the queries. Here are couple of more, address these two in the final version.

1) As most of the researchers know DSC and XRD. No need to write the full form. Remove the terms written within the bracket, in the abstract.

2) Page 6, line 169, and page 9, Verify the meaning of statistical outcome explanation with experts in statistical studies. The explanation should be understandable.

Author Response

The authors have addressed all the queries. Here are couple of more, address these two in the final version.

Response: Thanks again to the editor on suggesting to properly address the significance of the work. We have removed the terms written within the bracket, in the abstract.

2) Page 6, line 169, and page 9, Verify the meaning of statistical outcome explanation with experts in statistical studies. The explanation should be understandable.

Response: Thanks again to the editor on suggesting to properly address the significance of the work. Different significant difference between different groups (p<0.05). The error bar in the picture represents the standard deviation.

Reviewer 2 Report

The study provides a good example of recycling coffee grounds. The superiority of the coffee grounds-added PLA filament over the conventional PLA filament has been demonstrated by experimental studies.
