·         It is necessary to briefly include the application or practical utility of our findings in the abstract section.

·         The innovation and the importance of this work are not clearly highlighted in the abstract and introduction section.

·         The effect of salt stress on DNA methylation has not been adequately discussed. Further literature should be discussed.

·         It should be stated how the results of the study can be followed to cope with salt stress.

·         All manuscripts also still need work, for example, Latin names should be written in italics, pay attention to spaces

·         Some minor errors are listed below:

Line 43: “byproduct[5]” There should be a space between the word and the reference.

Line 113: “(P. bretschneideri)” scientific name should be italicized.

Line 114: “P. betulaefo” scientific name should be italicized.

Line 114: “(http://peargenome.njau.edu.cn/)the given link is not in use.

Line 137: “ (http://gsds.cbi.pku.edu.cn/index.php” Link not found.

Line 190: “genes ranged from 952 to 4686 bp, which the length from 354 to 1561 amino acids mean” 945 instead of 952, 314 instead of 354, check the table.

Line 193: “Table 1. The characteristics of MTase family members in Pear.” Arabidopsis should be written instead of Pear, check it.

Line 453: “genes[52, 53]” There should be a space between the word and the reference.

Line 456: “species[54]” There should be a space between the word and the reference.

Reviewer 2 Report

For the selection of pear rootstocks, the topic is relevant.

It is advisable to bring a visual picture of a Pyrus betuleafolia .

Specify the amount of saline in the Materials and Methods section.

It is interesting to study the aftereffect of salinity (1 day in water after saline), replacement of saline with water.

The bibliography should be brought into line with journal requirements
