Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This manuscript is very interesting as it treats a sensitive topic as sustainability especially for fashion products, and in this case for the sustainability across the cotton value chain.

Of course there are many difficulties to make an objective evaluation but the fusion of VCA and SVCA depicted as a tailored tool tested in Australia with seven participants.

Thus method can results valuable even for other companies.

Due to the length of this paper sometimes it confuses the reader. I would suggest a more concentrated structure. For example at the paragraph 4.2 “Captured value”, the authors give description about participant’s responses. I would suggest writing them at the end of the paper.

The text of the figures should be increased at least the same size as in the text. This is for all the pictures.

Reviewer 2 Report

I found the literature review a bit too long as the authors have their own pilot study.

Why did the authors have chosen only two participants (growers) in their study? Is this enough to conclude about the method used?
