From a Society of Knowledge to a Society of Consciousness a Call for Awareness Is on Its Way
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The topic is interesting, but the paper has flaws and is accepted only after revisions.
The paper should be prepared using the guidelines (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/sustainability/instructions).
The paper should be divided into following sections: 1. Introduction, 2. Materials and Methods, 3. Results, 4. Discussion, 5. Conclusions
The abstract of the paper should be improved. The aim of the paper should be better stated. The abstract should be a single paragraph and should follow the style of structured abstracts, but without headings: 1) Background: Place the question addressed in a broad context and highlight the purpose of the study; 2) Methods: Describe briefly the main methods or treatments applied. Include any relevant preregistration numbers, and species and strains of any animals used. 3) Results: Summarize the article's main findings; and 4) Conclusion: Indicate the main conclusions or interpretations.

Reviewer 2 Report
The paper attempts to engage with a set of important and timely issues. It raises several interesting points and a makes a satisfactory use of a wide range of sources. However, the debate isn't coherent. Many of the points, highlighted in the headings of various sections, are not properly explored. The paper reads more a collage of ideas rather then a building of a clear case for the shift from a 'society of knowledge' to a 'society of consciousness'. The title itself could have been more specific, especially its second part. It is not clear what the author has in mind by 'A call for awareness is on its way' (a call from whom? to whom?, etc). Perhaps it would have been better to make a more direct reference to the 'Humanity Awareness Movement' (314). Incidently, there is whole section of the paper entitled 'Humanity Awareness Movement' but there is very little exploration of the movement itself. A similar point can be made about other sections of the paper - the headings don't match well the analysis offered in the body of the section. There is also an overuse of big ideas such as 'global brain' or global heart' without a proper explanation what they mean and how they relate to the notion of consciousness. Some parts contain assumptions and judgments which read more like a sermon than an academic paper. The conclusion is not very strong - it could have engage more directly with the topic of the special issue. The whole paper needs to be revised and edited.

Round 2
Reviewer 1 Report
The authors improved the paper.
Moderate editing of English language and style is required.
Reviewer 2 Report
This version of the text is much better than the previous one. Many improvements have been made. The language needs to be revised. There are numerous grammatical errors (especially, several problems with the syntax).
