Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

A deeper review of the literature is recommended for the justification of the hypotheses and the study, as well as conceptualization.

Reviewer 2 Report

Thank the authors for this interesting paper. The authors are asking "Will public attention to the environment affect the green behavior of enterprises?" I was pretty sure that yes. Tha data are collected in China. Hypothesis are done after the literature review. The chosen methods are great and the results are presented after that.

- Data are little bit older. Do you think the results could be affected by the covid pandemic situation in 2019-2021?

I think the paper is very good, but reader could miss in it, because there is a lot of text, lot of tables. Please, summarize in one paragraph the findings at the end of results.

Reviewer 3 Report

1) In the abstract there is a typo in line number 25 "The promotion of s public environmental". What does it mean by "S" here?

2) Please provide the complete variable's name in the Research framework for better understanding (see figure-1).

3) It is requested to rewrite hypothesis 2 to provide a clear understanding to the audience. Presently, it's a very long sentence and difficult to realize.

4) It is difficult to realize whether hypotheses 3 and 4 are mediating or moderation hypotheses. Also difficult to relate to the research framework. Please make it clear. Please follow previous articles published in Sustainability journals to propose mediating and moderating hypotheses aligned with the research framework.

5) Lastly, the authors are requested to provide a summary table in the findings section separately for all the hypotheses developed (4 hypotheses) in the literature review containing hypothesis path, t-value or p-value, and the decision on whether are they supported or not. Because it will provide the audience with a better understanding.
