This manuscript investigates the sustainable development path of the green financial system in the context of carbon neutrality and carbon peaking. The topic is interesting and impressive, and some comments are as follows:

1.         The style of the literature citation should be consistent with the submitted journal, and some concepts are confusing, such as international studies, and the like. Meanwhile, the author should address the research gap and highlight the main contributions of this study.

2.         In section 3, there is no need to introduce the approaches in detail, which can be referred to in the textbook.

3.         During the interpretation of empirical results, the authors are suggested to verify the results with prior studies, which is positive to justify the results in this study.

4.         The author is encouraged to address implications, and limitations as well.

 

5.         The author is recommended to invite a native professor to proofread and polish the manuscript since there are substantial typos, grammatical mistakes, and the like.

We hope that through our research to promote the development of China's green financial system. As beginners in research, we know that this article has many shortcomings and gaps, and we hope that with your instructions, we can conduct further research in the future to increase the depth of academics and the width of research to enrich the topic of green finance.

1. The style of the literature citation should be consistent with the submitted journal, and some concepts are confusing, such as international studies, and the like. Meanwhile, the author should address the research gap and highlight the main contributions of this study.

Reply: Thank for your comments,we agree with this suggestion. We have deleted the three paragraphs about G1 method, entropy method and G1-entropy method in section 3. Because the quality function allocation theory is interdisciplinary, and we have innovatively borrowed this theory from marketing. So QFD is an interdisciplinary theory and not a generalist theoretical foundation. In this case, we need to clarify the original concept of this theory first, and then seek to apply and improve on this foundation. Therefore we have reserved the introduction of QFD in section 3.

3. During the interpretation of empirical results, the authors are suggested to verify the results with prior studies, which is positive to justify the results in this study.

The study presents Exploring the Sustainable Development Path of a Green Financial System in the Context of Carbon Neutrality and Carbon Peaking in China. In several places, this paper needs further revisions, including the abstract, literature, and conclusions. Below are some comments that the reviewer thinks that it improves a future version of this manuscript.

- Quality of writing: The narration is cumbersome, and the key points are not prominent. Please improve the quality of your writing by shortening some sections and focusing on key messages.

- Abstract: the abstract needs to be rewritten to include the following elements: 1-2 sentences on the context and the need for the study; 1-2 sentences on the methodology; the majority of the abstract on the actual results of the study; 1-2 sentences on critical conclusions and recommendations. 

- Introduction: In this section, the authors did not explicitly mention the issue that this work addresses. Please improve the quality of your writing by focusing on key messages, such as the key problem and objective of this work, as well as justifying contributions and novelty in this work to be more clear to readers.

- Literature Review: The narration is cumbersome, and the key points are not prominent. Please improve the quality of your writing by shortening this section and focusing on key messages.

- Figures and Tables:  Figures 2, 8, 9, and 10 are unclear, please improve them.

This manuscript provide a set of perfect assessment methods for the quality improvement path and sustainable development strategy. It was shown that the formulation after the construction of China's future green financial system, and it can also provide a reference assessment idea for the high quality and sustainable development of China's green finance, which will further help China's economic transition to green and low-carbon and the successful achievement of the double carbon goal. But the work requires further refinement of innovative ideas and details, so minor revisions is needed.

The authors aimed to investigate the, “Exploring the Sustainable Development Path of Green Financial System in the Context of Carbon Neutrality and Carbon Peaking: Evidence from China”.

 

Overall, the manuscript is well written in all sections of the manuscript, followed by sound methods with results from wide study settings. The study is meaningful in the current situation and context. However, I would like to provide the following comments and suggestions being considered before being accepted for publication. 

 

·        The result should be a bit clearer to the reader. Could authors re-write the proportion of why China is selected as case.

·        Abstract conclusion should be added. 

·        Keywords are usually written alphabetically.

·        In the introduction part, I would like to suggest authors add some related literature from a few other countries as well instead of only providing evidence from China. What has already been innovated, discussed; what is new discovery of this paper? Also, I suggest a few more sentences on how this paper will add to the literature gap? How is this paper be beneficial in terms of artificial intelligence as well as energy sector?

·        In the discussion section, authors should highlight the strengths of the study while limitations should be extended more precisely noting down biases associated with.

We selected China as a case because China attaches great importance to the development of green finance. Our    research can support the overall evaluation of the future Chinese green financial system   once it is completed. In 2015, China established a green finance policy system, becoming        the first country in the world to establish such a system. Besides, various policies have been introduced to stimulate the development of green finance. Our research is based on    the above background, and our goal is to contribute the thinking of Chinese scholars in    order to support the examination and future development of the quality of China's green   economy.
