Reviewer 2 Report

The article is interesting from the point of view of the conception of the scientific approach, but it deals only with purely theoretical aspects, therefore I recommend the authors to consider solving the following aspects:

- the substantiation regarding the necessity and appropriateness of the approach must take into account only scientific aspects, the interference established by political programs will be eliminated;

- the title of the article does not fully reflect the content of the work, it is necessary to reformulate it to specify that theoretical aspects are addressed;

- in the introduction part, an in-depth analysis of the current state of world achievements will be made.

Reviewer 3 Report

The subject of the articles is very interesting and touches upon new areas. But literature includes publications in Chinese only - international publication are completely missing (papers and articles). It should cover about 30 international items, also in the area of directional, longitudinal and lateral stability of articulated vehicles.

In addition, China's “14th five-year 36 plan” - this is not a scientific introduction used in international publications.

Some statements should be corrected e.g.:

When the simulation and theoretical results were compared, the maximum error was found to occur at the position where the rotation angle of the rotary rod was 90° and was less than 1%, demonstrating the accuracy of the theoretical model” – both models are theoretically obtained by other methods.

the duration of the effective driving force of the front wheels of the novel chassis was 61.5% longer than 22 that of the ordinary chassis – what is ordinary chassis - typical chassis of articulated wheel vehicle like: articulated loader, articulated scraper, articulated log skidder, articulated forwarder, articulated tree harvester – are flexible - have longitudinal joints (in axis or frames).

Technical teminology should be improved e.g.:

adhesion – traction?

the lateral friction was large - high?

rotary rod – shaft?

the wheels are attached well to the road – it is not attached - have a good contact?

The Adams model and simulation conditions are described in little detail. Questions arise:

How the wheels (flexible?) and their contact with the ground were modeled?

It is not clear what the weight of the vehicle was?

What the speed of the vehicle was?

What the diameter of wheel was?

It is not clear what the speed of the vehicle was and what dynamic properties the servomotor had?

Is it possible to develop such torque by servomotor?

Table 2. Simulation-environment-related parameters” – it is not clear which elements of the model relate to the indicated parameters

“a wheel speed of 500 d/s” – typically units are rev/min=rpm or rev/s, in SI system “rd/s=1/s”

There is probably an error in the drawing description - Fig. 9d - Descending limit position?

Reviewer 4 Report

1. The specific notes are given in the text.

2. The research is based mostly on local Chinese sources: I recommend that it be expanded and other sources cited!

3. The rubric "Discussion" should be given in a separate part or merged with "Results", such as "Results and Discussion!

Round 2

Reviewer 3 Report

The article still does not have the appropriate state of the art.

20-30 articles in English should be added to References.
