Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper addresses the problem of designing a disinfection and epidemic prevention robot based on fuzzy QFD, and ARIZ algorithms.

The main idea behind using robots is that the disinfection tasks are often carried out by humans who are themselves at risk of infection, so if a robot device replaces humans to perform these tasks then it stops the spread to a certain extent.

The design of the robot is based on AHP, QFD, and ARIZ algorithms. AHP is used to calculate the social demand weight value of the disinfection and epidemic prevention robot, QFD is used to connect the social demand of the robot with the quality planning related features and derive the contradictory conflicts between technical indicators, and ARIZ algorithms are used to resolve the relevant contradictions and conflicts.

All these algorithms (AHP, QFD and ARIZ) which are extensively used in the literature have some strengths and weaknesses, however, this study combines all these algorithms make the process more optimal and efficient.

Mathematical equations are presented very concisely. In the tables, I would like to see a vertical separation line, if that is possible and as per journal guidelines.

All the figures are losing quality or getting distorted, is it possible to include undistorted and loss-less images? Especially figure 5 and 6, nothing is really visible there.

Other than that, I am happy with the presentation and context of the paper.

Author Response

Thank you very much for your patient review. Your comments and encouragement are the motivation for our research.

1.We filtered the long tables in the article and divided them vertically to reduce visual stress.

2.We redrew the blurred images in Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 5, Figure 6, and Figure 14.

Reviewer 2 Report

The author discussed and analyzed all my concerns points according to temperature, response time, and negative drawbacks. AHP is the best option for using obtain the weight value. The paper writing and discussion were done perfectly.

This is an interesting study trying to integrate MCDM method with QFD to better solve the problem. However, there are some issues must be improved before accepting for publication.

1. The paper should highlight the gaps of past works, and trying to convince the readers why and how the methods applied in this work can fulfill the gaps.

2. Some related works (integration of MCDM methods and QFD) are still neglected in the literature review.

An Improved Intellectual Capital Management Method for Selecting and Prioritizing Intangible-Related Aspects: A Case Study of Small Enterprise in Thailand

- An integrated model to identify and rank the after sales service strategies of firms engaged in household appliances business

- Using QFD and ANP to analyze the environmental production requirements in linguistic preferences

3. The discussion part mainly focuses on the results of case study that limits benefits to readers. It should better to discuss more on the improved and proposed methods compared to other past works. Please discuss on the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed method. This can help the readers to consider to use the proposed method in their works in the future or not.

4. The practical implication and limitations of work should be added.

Author Response

Thank you very much for your patient review. Your comments and encouragement are the motivation for our research.

1.We highlight the gaps from past work and try to convince the reader why and how the methods applied in this work can fill those gaps.

2.We have refined the literature review on the integration of MCDM methods and QFD.

3.We have added a new discussion of the research methodology in Chapter 4 section to present the reader with the advantages and disadvantages of the research methodology compared to past research methods.

4.We have added a discussion of the implications and limitations of the design study in the conclusion section.
