Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper is prepared and presented well. However, I suggest following revison to improve the quality of paper:

-Data period (year) examined and place should be added I did not see any information about it. Datan information should be added into section and title of section 3 should be renamed as "Methodology and Data"

-Section 6 should be moved into the section 7 and this section should be renamed as "Conclusion and Policy Implicatios". This section should reorganized accordingly

Reviewer 3 Report

The manuscript provides comprehensive study on the topic and is suitable for publishing in Sustainability. The authors have deep knowledge in the topic. The scientific methodology is acceptable. The obtained results support conclusions. However, the manuscript lacks the relationship with the key energy source being competition for the renewable energy sources i.e. nuclear energy. Please provide such implication in the manuscript (separated paragraph in section one). This will provide broader view on the topic including all main energy generators (cool, nuclear, renewable). It would be also valuable to mention environmental impact of nuclear energy systems, nuclear fuel cycle and new technologies like IV Generation nuclear reactors, even at the bibliographic level. Some papers about the topic:
