Response to Reviewer 1:

Thanks so much for your valuable feedback.

  1. Comment: The description section should describe the appropriate quotations and references.

Author's Response: We sincerely appreciate the valuable comments. We have checked the literature carefully and added more references on swarm intelligence algorithms for parameter identification in photovoltaic cells into the “Introduction” part in the revised manuscript.

  1. Comment: The comment section on the tag, please fix: experiment with two functions, 12 benchmark functions, and 12 CEC testing functions must be improved.

Author's Response: Thanks for your suggestion. We have made further improvements about the description in the abstract section.

  1. Comment: HIDA data validation needs to be improved with additional proof.

Author's Response: We sincerely appreciate your comments. We have supplemented the PV array engineering model, double diode equivalent model, triple diode equivalent model and STM-40/36 module model with parameter identification experiments in Sections 4.2.2 and 4.2.3 to further validate the performance of HIDA.

1. Contribution is not clear.

2. Suggest to mention the prototype PV array rating like Pmax, Vmpp, Impp, Voc & Isc.

3. How to compare the method and model formulation of this manuscript to the following publication?

M Eslami, E Akbari, ST Seyed Sadr, BF Ibrahim, (2022),A novel hybrid algorithm based on rat swarm optimization and pattern search for parameter extraction of solar photovoltaic models, Energy Science & Engineering.

M Yaghoubi, M Eslami, M Noroozi, H Mohammadi, O Kamari, S Palani (2022), Modified salp swarm optimization for Parameter estimation of solar PV models, IEEE ACCESS

4.Suggest to include the convergence curves of the proposed algorithm. Discuss the convergence speed of the proposed algorithm with other compared algorithms.

5.     Sensitive analysis and convergence plots are missed during manuscript design.

6. PV curves needs to be analyzed during dynamic conditions as partial shading, variable irradiance, and variable temperature etc.

7.The review of optimization methods can be expanded, some works are recommended to be added, such as:

-Golden Search Optimization Algorithm

-Opposition-based firefly algorithm for earth slope stability evaluation

-A Novel Hybrid Sine Cosine Algorithm and Pattern Search for Optimal Coordination of Power System Damping Controllers

  1. Comment: Contribution is not clear.

Author's Response: We feel great thanks for your professional review work on our manuscript. As you are concerned, we have extensively revised the "Contribution of this paper" section at the end of the introduction.

  1. Comment: Suggest to mention the prototype PV array rating like Pmax, Vmpp, Impp, Voc & Isc.

Author's Response: Thanks for your suggestion. We have added the PV array engineering model in Section 4.2.2.

M Yaghoubi, M Eslami, M Noroozi, H Mohammadi, O Kamari, S Palani (2022), Modified salp swarm optimization for Parameter estimation of solar PV models, IEEE ACCESS

Author's Response: We sincerely appreciate the valuable comments. We have read the two articles you recommended and have given the results of the comparison at the end of section 4.2.3.

  1. Comment: Suggest to include the convergence curves of the proposed algorithm. Discuss the convergence speed of the proposed algorithm with other compared algorithms.

Author's Response: The algorithmic complexity analysis is given in Section 4.1.6. Based on your suggestion, we have added an analysis of the HIDA convergence speed after Figures 4 and 7 respectively.

  1. Comment: Sensitive analysis and convergence plots are missed during manuscript design.

Author's Response: We add the analysis of the sensitivity of the model to the parameters after Table 16.

  1. Comment: PV curves needs to be analyzed during dynamic conditions as partial shading, variable irradiance, and variable temperature etc.

Author's Response: We sincerely appreciate your valuable comments. We have added experiments at different irradiances and temperatures as detailed in Tables 15 and 16. We are sorry that due to limited conditions, we are unable to complete our experiments on the identification of PV cell parameters in partial shading at this time. However, we have supplemented section 4.2.3 of the manuscript with parameter identification for the double diode equivalent model, triple diode equivalent model and STM-40/36 module model, the experimental results demonstrate the validity and stability of HIDA.

  1. Comment: The review of optimization methods can be expanded, some works are recommended to be added, such as:

-Golden Search Optimization Algorithm

-Opposition-based firefly algorithm for earth slope stability evaluation

-A Novel Hybrid Sine Cosine Algorithm and Pattern Search for Optimal Coordination of Power System Damping Controllers

Author's Response: As suggested by the reviewer, we have added these references to the introduction to the swarm intelligence algorithm and the introduction to the comparison algorithm, respectively. The numbers are 32, 33 and 57.

The topic is interesting and it is adapt to this journal. I think that there is a great work behind the presentation of this work. The manuscript and the research in it are well structured. I just have a few general comments:

-Clarify better the innovation of this work in the abstract.

-Please search references to each equations. Equations should always be accurately and clearly referenced. References to equations should only be omitted if they are the results of your own research. Since the research uses mathematics, they must be referenced with appropriate literature. It is also correct if, before applying the equations, you describe exactly in which literature the presented equations can be found.
