Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Authors chose a very interesting and relevant topic, because the role of “green” activities increased in a very rapid way, and it will be increase in the future too. It would be necessary to find win-win situations between economy and ecology too. Authors used relevant literature sources, but I suggest them to improve it with other sources from the last few years. I appreciate used methods which helped them to introduce results of their research work. Unfortunately, I think that the Authors formulated too much - 13 – hypotheses, several of them were evident for me, so I suggest to reduce the number and to restructure them.

Dear Authors,

The topic of this paper is timely, given the increasing demand for ESG-related talents, as the importance of ESG has recently been emphasized. In particular, it was intriguing to conduct an analysis of ESG-related talents by categorizing them into green soft talent management (TM) and green hard TM. To ensure the paper's publication, the following considerations should be addressed.

This study examines the impact of employees on corporate sustainability through survey analysis. The reference below will strengthen the logical basis of the hypotheses presented in this paper by presenting an empirical analysis of the positive correlation the role of employees and corporate sustainable performance

-          Chang Seop Rhee, Sohee Woo, Hyunjung Rhee, 2023. Effect of Gender Diversity on Corporate Soundness and Social Contribution, Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, 30(1), 419-430.

-          Chang Seop Rhee, Sohee Woo, So-Jin Yu, Hyunjung Rhee, 2021. Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Employability: Empirical Evidence from Korea, Sustainability, 13(14), 8114.

This study focuses on the banking sector. Given that the banking sector is a financial industry characterized by minimal carbon emissions, the ESG perspective differs significantly from that of the manufacturing industry, which is known for its carbon emissions. In the financial sector, ESG talent recruitment and evaluation primarily revolve around financial products. Therefore, it is important to acknowledge as a research limitation that the findings of this study may have limited applicability to non-financial companies.

Lastly, the inclusion of an appendix detailing the organization of the questionnaire will provide readers with a more intuitive understanding of the study's methodology.

The topic is fine, but the title is mislaeding. If I understand correctly, the research is only from two cities in one jurisdiction. As a matter of fact, this is rahter a specific case study and we should get a more robuts theoretic background and better explained methodology, in order to move to results able to be compared and juxtaposed to similar studies from other jurisdictions. In addition, I am still puzzled how the data was collected, i.e. how the survey questionnaire was able to provide data for included tables.

Some mistakes, but understandable.

Dear Authors,

Congratulations for your interesting manuscript. However, and although its interest, some improvements are needed, namely:

- Authors should highlight in the abstract the main aims of the study.

- Authors should differentiate the questionnaires obtained in each city.

- A conclusion section is missing. Please insert it.

- In the conclusion Authors should highlight the political implications of their study.

OK

This study verifies many hypotheses using the methodology of structural equations. Most of the hypotheses have already been verified in previous studies. The use of a simple structural equation methodology is not differentiated from previous studies, so a clear description is required. For this paper to be meaningful, it must clearly describe how it differs from previous research.

Thanks for your hardwork, the article has been improved. Now, I only miss the comparison, i.e. juxtaposing your findings and results with prior published studies.

Minor corrections needed.
