1- Abstract

Your abstract should be improved for better reading and understanding.

The problem or issue is stated too lengthy at the beginning.

The research methodology is not briefly highlighted.

It is important to remember that the abstract is intended to convince the reader that the text is worth reading. Therefore, the implications of the analyses carried out and the novelty of the research in the area should be highlighted.

I would suggest including the theoretical and practical contribution in the abstract of the work.

2- Introduction

Line 104 - from triple bottom (TBL) viewpoint.. Change to from TBL viewpoint (previously referred to in Line 96)

There are 3 RQ

(i) What is lean manufacturing (LM) application in agro-pastoral production?

(ii) What are the impacts of the reduction of losses and waste and the increase in productivity relating to the process function and the operation function of lean manufacturing?

(iii) What is the relationship between applying LM concepts and impacts on TBL pillars?

Please double-check all of your abbreviations all over the articles. Examples TBL and LM

Line 96- “triple bottom line” (TBL)

Line 104 - triple bottom (TBL)

Line 121 - impacts the pillars (TBL) of sustainability

Line 104 - lean manufacturing

Line 106 - lean manufacturing (LM)

Line 110 - applying LM concepts

Line 112 - to lean manufacturing 112 (LM)

Line 122 - that lean manufacturing – through

Figure 1 - What is the figure's relationship to RQ or RO?

3- Materials and Methods

The section on materials and processes should be improved. This article is a systematic literature review. The authors can explain each step in systematically addressing the study objectives as highlighted in the research framework.

4- Results and Discussions

Tables - What is the conclusion from the tables? Any of the RQs/ROs were answered?

Table 1. Overview of full papers selected for qualitative analysis

Table 2. The number of publications by country.

Table 5. Main results of the application of lean concepts.

5- Conclusion

I would suggest addressing the limitation as well as the theoretical and practical contribution in the conclusion section.

Please revised the conclusions and add the limitations of the research.

Reviewer 2 Report

Authors present a systematic literature review on which tools related to lean manufacturing are applied in agro-pastoral production, their impacts on the reduction of losses and waste, and productivity increases considering the view of process function and operation function, and agro-pastoral production. Research reported in the literature was analyzed and presented carefully in consideration of the lean manufacturing application.

The research content is matched with the scope of the Journal and can be accepted for publication. However, authors should explain some comments to the paper content as follows:

1.In Chapter 3 “Results”, pages 12 and 13, the author should present the results of the researchers ccording to the applied aspects of Lean Manufacturing and tools instead of listing and summarizing the content of the articles.

2. In research analysis, please add results which show the impacts of applying lean manufacturing to agro-pastoral production, in which it is necessary to show seven main types of waste and losses are eliminated.

3. Deleting sub-section title “2.3 research analysis” in chapter 3 “Results” due to in this chapter without sub-sections.

4. In Fig.1, please correct “waste e losses”.

1. It just describes the classification result of 44 publications according to the countries, lean tools and TBL. The discussion for the results is not sufficient.

2. This paper can be improved by adding the discussion, such as the reason why VSM is popularly used in lean farm?

3. The description of evaluation concerns the impacts of applying the lean production method concepts on the sustainability pillars is not clear so that the result finding is weak.

4. Finally, the contributions of this work is not clear addressed.
