Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Please find several comments below:

- Introdoction should make the research gap and contribution clearer, also with respect to references suggested below.

- Please include recent papers on GSCM and its intersection with digital technologies, such as
Nozari, H., Fallah, M., & Szmelter-Jarosz, A. (2021). A conceptual framework of green smart IoT-based supply chain management. International journal of research in industrial engineering, 10(1), 22-34.

Lerman, L. V., Benitez, G. B., Müller, J. M., de Sousa, P. R., & Frank, A. G. (2022). Smart green supply chain management: A configurational approach to enhance green performance through digital transformation. Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, 27(7), 147-176.

- Section 2.2. is a bit short and should be enhanced.

- Please explain better why you chose green information systems and not other technologies

- Please enhance hypothesis development based on additional literature, e.g., the ones suggested above.

- Method section is very short and should consider better biases, countermeasures and explain better choice of method, sample, context etc.

- Please extend theoretical contribution based on literature.

- Please extend limitations and future research.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Congrats for authors. Article very interesting and well written/ structured. Some suggestions:
1) I think that theoretical background is very short and would be improved;

2) in method, expression: "Thus, we followed the recommendation provided by Krejcie and Morgan [60], which 304 suggests that when the population is unknown, a sample size of 384 is adequate" seems not appropriate because authors could inform number of firms located in the region (local government must have this information).

3)Study doesn´t present research questions, but two research objectives presented that are clearly stated. Specific topic of the research, GSCM, cannot be considered new, but test the mediating role of GEO and GIS between GSCM and ENP relationship isn´t often found in scientific literature.

4)A consider conclusions consistent and reference appropriate.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

I would like to congratulate the authors.

The article is well written and addresses an emerging and very relevant topic today - corporate sustainability and green management. The growing global concern with environmental preservation leads me to believe that studies on this subject are crucial.

The authors study the mediating role of green entrepreneurship orientation and green information systems in the relationship between green supply chain management (GSCM) and companies' environmental performance. It also addresses the moderating role of management support.

Although the literature review is comprehensive, it lacks more criticism from the authors. In fact, the analysis of previous studies is descriptive and could include a more detailed assessment of the gaps detected, highlighting the specific contributions of the present study to filling them.

The methodology is robust, as the use of the PLS-SEM method to analyze the data collected from 355 workers in the manufacturing industry undoubtedly provides a solid basis for the conclusions. The authors chose a quantitative approach which is suitable for examining complex relationships between variables.

The article presents a constraint that stems from geographical limitation; it is that although the study focuses on the Bangladeshi manufacturing industry, its conclusions may not be directly applicable to other regions with different economic and cultural contexts. A more in-depth discussion on the generalizability of the results would be beneficial. On the other hand, while the use of the Natural Resource Based Perspective (NRBP) is appropriate, integration with other theories could offer a more holistic view. The authors should consider including additional perspectives, such as Stakeholder Theory, which could enrich the analysis and discussion.

Regarding theoretical contributions, the study demonstrates a contribution to the literature by exploring the mediating role of green entrepreneurial orientation (GEO) and green information systems (GIS), as well as the moderating role of management support (MS). These relationships had not yet been widely explored, especially in the context of Bangladesh.

In light of the above, I make the following suggestions for improvement:

(1) Expanding the sample: extending the study to include other regions and sectors could increase the external validity of the findings. Comparing different contexts could provide more general insights into the effectiveness of SCM practices.

(2) Discussion of practical implications: although the theoretical implications are clear, a more detailed discussion of the practical implications for managers and policymakers could increase the applicability of the study. [VERY IMPORTANT].

(3) Complementary qualitative analysis: the reinforcement with qualitative methods, such as interviews or case studies, could provide a deeper understanding of the motivations and challenges faced by companies in implementing GSCM.

(4) Exploration of additional variables: the inclusion of additional variables, such as organizational culture and consumer behavior, could provide a more complete picture of the dynamics at play.

In conclusion, it should be noted that the article offers a valuable contribution by exploring the complex relationships between GSCM practices, green entrepreneurial orientation, green information systems and environmental performance. However, it could be strengthened by expanding the sample, by including a more critical analysis of the literature and by considering practical implications and additional variables. The integration of qualitative methods could also enrich the insights gained.
