Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The research presents multiple methods of analyzing the spatio-temporal evolution of tourism economic resilience and provides a comprehensive understanding of this phenomenon. The Yili River Valley is presented as a significant region for tourism development in China and the study exhibits valuable insights into this local context. The use of entropy weight TOPSIS method and grey correlation analysis is innovative and contributes to the advancement of the field. The study's findings can provide policy makers and strategic planners a good understanding of ways to make sustainable tourism development in this region. The research focuses on a single region and may not be generalizable to other regions with different economic and environmental conditions. In future studies, consider including multiple regions to make the findings more general. The study relies on secondary data, which may not capture the full complexity of the tourism economic phenomenon. Collect primary data through surveys or interviews to capture more detailed information about the touristic economic aspects. Compare the results with other studies or regions to provide a more comprehensive understanding of this phenomenon.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors This manuscript is a relatively standardized one, and it is recommended that it be accepted after some modifications. 1. The Introduction section lacks content and should be supplemented with national policies, speeches by leaders, and the development and status of the tourism industry in China. 2. In the part of construction of the indicator system, the data source for the third level indicators of Tourism Environment Index and Tourism Potential Index is the indicator data of the secondary industry such as Waste Gas Emission and Waste Water Emission. If there is more accurate tourism industry data, it is recommended to recalculate. 3. Since the title of this manuscript is Spatial Temporal evolution of Tourism Economic Resilience and Its Driving Factors under the Perspective of Sustainable Development, and the Yili River Valley is only used as a subtitle, the author should highlight the universality of this research in a more prominent position, that is, how to extend it to research in other regions of the country. 4、Why is the format of the references in lines 146-165 italicized? 5、Chinese appears in line 651.

Yes, the content is well contextualized with respect to previous and present theoretical background and empirical research. The introduction and literature review sections provide a detailed overview of the theoretical background and existing research on tourism economic resilience. The article highlights the vulnerability and resilience of the tourism economy, especially in the context of unexpected events like the COVID-19 pandemic, and situates its study within this broader research landscape.

2. Are the research design, questions, hypotheses, and methods clearly stated?

Yes, the research design, questions, hypotheses, and methods are clearly stated. The paper outlines the construction of a tourism economic resilience evaluation index system and uses advanced methods like entropy weight TOPSIS and Markov chain analysis to assess the tourism economic resilience of counties and cities in the Yili River Valley. The methodology section is detailed, describing the indicators, data sources, and analytical techniques used.

3. Are the arguments and discussion of findings coherent, balanced, and compelling?

Yes, the arguments and discussion of findings are coherent, balanced, and compelling. The results are presented logically, with clear explanations of the spatio-temporal evolution of tourism economic resilience and the driving factors influencing it. The discussion connects the findings to broader themes in tourism resilience research, providing a balanced view of the implications and limitations of the study.

4. For empirical research, are the results clearly presented?

Yes, the results are clearly presented. The article includes several figures and tables that illustrate the findings effectively. The spatio-temporal characteristics and the driving factors of tourism economic resilience are presented with detailed explanations, supported by visual aids like graphs and maps.

5. Is the article adequately referenced?

Yes, the article is adequately referenced. It includes a comprehensive list of references, citing relevant literature to support the theoretical background, methodology, and discussion of findings. The references cover a wide range of studies related to tourism resilience, regional economic resilience, and specific methodologies used in the research.

6. Are the conclusions thoroughly supported by the results presented in the article or referenced in secondary literature?
