Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This study investigates the transformative potential of intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) 9 technology solutions in leisure farms, highlighting their capacity to attract senior citizens and create 10 sustainable business models in the face of competitive, homogeneous markets. This approach helps to uncover the advantageous factors associated with the adoption of intelligent IoT tech-12 nology solutions in leisure farms, which is significant for achieving sustainable tourism. Nevertheless, I feel some parts of the paper require improvement.

1.Abstract

The abstract requires revision. It should begin with a brief background on the research problem, then proceed to outline the aims, data, and methods employed, followed by a concise summary of the results. Finally, it should highlight the contribution of this study and how policymakers can benefit from it.

2. Introduction and Literature review

This section is rich in its content but long and made me confused. I suggest organizing this section in a better way.

First, it lacks a direct connection to the specific research objectives or findings mentioned in the abstract, making the discussion seem overly broad.

Second, the contribution and the novelty of the paper are not clear.

Most importantly, there are issues with unclear research gaps and research questions.

3. Methodology

It does not mention the time range or collection date, which may lead readers to question the data's relevance and suitability.

4. Findings and Discussions

First, Table 3 can appear in statistical form instead of listing all the contents.

Second, The study unveils six key advantageous factors and six constraint factors.

What are the possible reasons for different factors? What inspiration can they give us?

   5. Conclusions

The results should be interpreted in perspective of previous studies and of the working hypotheses. Many of the content in this section belongs to “discussion”.

   6. Limitations and future research

I suggest changing this section to a discussion. The discussion should focus on interpreting the results. The policy implication and contribution can be integrated with the conclusion section. Furthermore, the discussion section should compare the results of this study with the results from other studies conducted in the countrie

In the United States, seniors have many IT mechanisms for checking their health from heart rate to cholesterol to high blood sugar.  Those who have health problems wear watches that monitor functions and identify both the person and his or her physician when something is out of normal range.  Most seniors who live alone wear a necklace that has a button they can push if they fall or just need help that summons emergency help. Seniors who travel have the same plus contacts to notify if there is an emergency.  This can transfer health information from the home provider to another if the person is unconscious for example.

The authors should research what the US and other countries have so that they can provide models that Taiwan can use.

A definition of a leisure farms and how they are used in Taiwan is necessary.  It would also be useful if there was data on the health problems that have happened in Taiwan.

The research idea is very interesting. Congratulations. It's not just Taiwan's society that is aging. The societies of European countries are also aging very much. However, I have a few points that should allow me to improve this study: 1. I encourage you to formulate hypotheses. They should result from a literature review. Rural tourism, agritourism, is primarily domestic tourism. I encourage you to present seniors from your country in more detail. The magazine has an international reach, but seniors from Italy, Germany, Taiwan or any other country are not the same. 2. The research was carried out in 2019, i.e. before the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic has played a significant role in the development of technology. It also influenced tourist behavior, not only of seniors. There is a lot of research on this topic. It would be very valuable to repeat the research in the same facilities and make comparisons. 3. Hypotheses will likely influence the way the results are presented. 4. To the best of my knowledge, MDPI uses a different way of citing literature, i.e. in chronological order, not alphabetical order.
