Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Upon reviewing the article titled "From Green Awareness to Green Behavior: The Impact of Information Disclosure Scenarios on Greener Shopping Channel Choices," I recommend that the author consider the following revisions: Firstly, the abstract should be further refined to convey the key points of the research more concisely. Secondly, the introduction should clearly articulate how this study relates to existing literature and its potential contributions to the existing body of knowledge. The literature review section should identify gaps in current research and express how this study addresses those gaps. Additionally, the Materials and Methods section should provide more details on the sampling and data collection process to enhance transparency and replicability. The Data Analysis section should visually present key statistical results using charts and figures, and the Discussion section should delve into the implications of these results for both theory and practice. The conclusion should succinctly summarize the study's findings and emphasize their practical significance for policymakers and retailers. Lastly, the author should ensure the accuracy of all cited references and adhere to the journal's citation format, and consider language polishing to enhance the professionalism of the paper. If the study involves human participants, it should be confirmed that the research has been approved by an ethics review committee and that participants have provided informed consent. Furthermore, the author is encouraged to make the dataset publicly available where possible to promote transparency and accessibility of the research.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

It's been a while since I read such an interesting article!

Many congratulations on the work and the quality of the research presented!

In my opinion, it is ready to be published.

You only have a small thing to fix: in the figure 5 and the figure 6, the label word "consumbers" appears when it should be "consumers".

Congratulations!

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Congratulations on presenting the complex and detailed study. I have made intensive comments on the manuscript (attached). A short list of key points that need addressing is also attached

Comments on the Quality of English Language

1.      Abstract

In this statement:  4) The effective scenarios, where the difference in shopping channel choice under 22 different levels of information disclosure is statistically significant, have been identified -  an example of the effective scenarios could be mentioned explicitly to sign post to the readers.

Line 26 advancing the global environmental agenda – it is a vague statement. Suggest more specific, such as fostering environmentally friendly consumption behaviour that leads to a reduction in consumers’ carbon foodprint.

2.      Introduction

Line 46, 49 the use of ‘etc’ should be avoided, as they are redundant;  the associated sentences already state ‘among others’

Line 48, Social psychology  is a broad concept – state more specifically an example of intervention within this field.

Line 73 - “Green Consumption Awareness”, should be abbreviated, GCA, in the first mention, then the abbreviation should be used in the remaining document, to reduce repetitiveness.

Line 98-99- this should be expressed as a question – as in Q1 and Q2

3.      Literature review

Several statements were not supported by relevant citations; including incomplete citation (e.g line 352). See comments in the manuscript.

4.      Materials and Methods

Section 3.1, supporting citations are needed in the first paragraph

Section 3.2 and the wordings in Appendices need correcting

Figure 3 - histograms may be tidier/less cumbersome than the pie charts, especially with numbers

5.      Analysis of results

·         See the suggestion to improve the presentation of results in Figure 3.

·         Inconsistent tenses (in Analysis of results) sometimes in present tense, in others past tense

·         It is not clear what the numbers in brackets indicate (lines 355-6)

6.      Discussion

The section is more of a presentation of findings without engagement with the literature that has been reviewed. This section requires major revision.

The research limitations and recommendations for future research are missing.

Presentation

·         Substantial language editing is needed to improve the manuscript to be more concise and many typos corrected.

·         Inconsistent section heading style (some in title case while others in sentence case)

·         Incorrect use of capital letters – see notations on the manuscript

List of references

Inconsistencies in the style used for cited sources need to be addressed. For example, journal names, style for articles’ titles based on the type of sources

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

I am satisfied with the authors' responses to my comments.

However, the title of this journal article added in the reference list should be corrected, following the sentence case style

Comments on the Quality of English Language

The writing tends to be wordy but in the revised version, this has much improved.
