Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

After giving the article a thorough read, I can say that some of the data given in section 4 are intriguing; unfortunately, the presentation may use some polishing. Additional thoughts are as follows.

·         The presentation in section 1, I wish to see a table that states the main contribution related to the type of the paper proposal.

·         I hope to have more details on the methodology applied in this work.

·         I am not clear about the number of reference points mentioned in Table 1, any chance to clear what is stated towards boats and water? That is based on the actual data or maps used in this case study.

·         Any chance to see the level of confidence of the results appeared in section 4.

·         Figure 2 is not clear.

·         I like to see figure 4, but over what period this been considered.

Apart from the above I am happy about this work.

Reviewer 2 Report

The article is interesting from the point of view of the experiment that the authors of the article described. But this issue is very complex and their solution gives only one of the partial solutions. From my point of view, this solution is interesting, but I don't see it as innovative. Similar systems have been in operation for several years, albeit with different aspects of use. The article contains some inaccuracies from the point of view of a complex view of the problem, but also from a grammatical point of view, which need to be corrected:

line 43:  [7-13] cover the latest waveform ... - it is necessary to edit the text because the sentence cannot start with a reference;

line 46:  ... communication integration (DFRC) [14].- the full name for the abbreviation "DFRC" must be given ;

line 77:  ... for additional interference. [22] proposed - it is necessary to edit the text because the sentence cannot start with a reference;

line 79: ... [23] analyzed the effects of noise convolution and radio frequency - it is necessary to edit the text because the sentence cannot start with a reference;

line 93:  ... the FBMC-chirp. - the full name for the abbreviation "FBMC" must be given ;

line 99: ... and the research conclusions are summarized in Section 7. - what is Section 7 ?

line 122: Please define the term ... "joint system"  - reference;

line 120: Please define the term ... "joint communication" - reference;

line 196 and line 206: in the mathematics formula (4) and (5) is parameter S vector ?

line 304: What is "P/S block" ?

line 317: it would be appropriate to expand and define some aspects of CFAR, such as defined in paper: Žáčik, N., et. all (2017). SASS-C processing capability of MSPSR data, doi:10.1016/j.trpro.2017.12.171

It is necessary to specify which algorithm it is [24], because it is a reference article entitled "Joint communication interference system design based on parameter modulation".

A few words at the end of my review, the article is very interesting but it is necessary to remove out some commonly known facts, formulas and definitions, then it will be more readable.
