Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The article is devoted to research on the effect of H2S on the catalytic properties of MgO, NiO/MgO and LaNiO3 in catalytic dry reforming of methane. This research has important scientific and applied significance, since understanding the processes of deactivation of DRM catalysts will allow us to find ways to improve the efficiency of this process. I recommend this article for publication after making a number of changes and clarifications.

1. What determines the choice of a high calcination temperature for the MgO and NiO/MgO samples (800 oC); it is known that nickel nitrate decomposes at temperatures up to 400 oC.

2. Have the authors conducted studies on the influence of the particle size of the active phase in the samples, for example, according to XRD or TEM data? Obviously, the particle size will vary between "Used" and "Reduced" samples .

3. In Сonclusion, it is necessary to present a comparison between the results obtained in this work and similar catalytic systems known from the literature for the DRM process.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The effect of H2S on catalytic dry reforming of methane was investigated in present manuscript. It has been established that the introduction of hydrogen sulfide into the reaction leads to a significant increase in the conversion of methane and carbon dioxide due to a shift in thermodynamic equilibrium. The methods used are described in detail, the results obtained are discussed in detail. Manuscript can be accepted for publication in present form.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The submitted manuscript 'Promotion Effect of H2S with High Concentrations on Catalytic Dry Reforming of Methane in Sour Natural Gas' has been reviewed carefully.

Although the manuscript looks good at first glance, still have some comments for H. Ni et al.

ABSTRACT:

-In abstract author should mention tangibly, means values that has been conclusively need be showcased.

- Make abstract concise.

INTRODUCTION:

- I find there many researches have been published related to this work. Required to write short note on what they achieved and what they couldn't, and this work is fulfilling those gaps.

- Table 1, must be more expressive and explain with the gas filed area etc.

- Explain how sour gases put impact their economy with respective countries (as mentioned in Table 1)

- I could not understood '20.0 - 50.0, volume of CO2' in Germany (Table 1), it shows big range, though.

- Authors, must read this article (Energy Procedia 4 (2011) 2178–2184) before making Table 1, I hope authors will need huge with adding more data with different countries.
MATERIALS AND METHOD:
- Purity of materials (in Values)?

- Need more details about used equipment.

- Add references from already done work in characterization

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION:

- Explain how to process ASPEN PLUS, flow chart required.

- Explain the plot thermodynamically, in terms of stability and concentration related chemistry.

- Improve the quality of figures.

CONCLUSIONS:

Make it concise and straight forward.
