Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors had assessed the application of different fungicide treatment programs both to the seed and different development stages on the crop protection against two major fungal diseases in temperate growing areas under naturally infected field conditions.

Both the introduction and the materials and methods sections provide a comprehensive description of the actual state of the art and the methodology followed. Results are presented in a clear way and well supported using tables and figures.

The discussion is broadly supported by cited literature and the outcomes can provide a strong foundation for further knowledge development on the effect of fungicide seed treatments in small grains.

Therefore, I would suggest the acceptance in the present form of the submitted work.

Reviewer 2 Report

The study investigates possibility of minimizing the yield loss of wheat due to foliar fungi through using combination of fungicides.

The manuscript is well written, and I enjoyed reading it. The introduction explains the background and the problem clearly. The methods are standards and experimental design is done properly with consideration of important factors. My only reservation is that I hoped the study could have have more trials, but I understand the limitations and how such work could be tedious.

The results are also well presented. Discussion section is also standard and covers the caveats and study limitation through critical analysis.

In my opinion the manuscript can be accepted at the present form.
