Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The advantage of the research is a detailed description of the conditions of the experiment, the measuring equipment used, and the consideration of soil temperature and wind rose.

The following passages should be corrected:

  • Line 107/108, 113, 117, 118/119, 163, 263/264, 268/269, 276, 302/303, 308, 311, 321, 322, 336, 340, 343, 349, 356, 364, 372, 373, 384, 396, 435, 438, 458, 468, 478 Error! Reference source not found.
  • Line 108: The slurry application rate was 30 ton/ha and 35 ton /ha in May and August, respectively. If so, the fertilization limit of 170 kg N / ha has been exceeded. This necessarily needs to be clarified.
  • Line 111/112 - please specify the fermentation conditions in the biogas plant: temperature and HRT.
  • Line 34: ‘Grassland’ – should be written ‘grassland’

Author Response

  • All references are okay in the downloaded manuscript. ’Error! Reference source not found’ are not found in the manuscript.
  • The slurry application rate is correct. Added:
The application exceeds the fertilization limit of 170 kg N ha-1, but Danish and EU legislation allows 230 kg N /ha for cattle farming with much grass in the crop rotation.
  • The fermentation conditions in the biogas plant has been added.
The biogas plant is operated at a temperature of 53°C and a HRT of 13 days [28]
  • Grassland changed as proposed.

Reviewer 2 Report

Very high quality manuscript, and interesting content. I recommend it for publication after the following minor corrections:

  • References to figures and tables must be fixed;
  • Acronyms must be specified at their first appearance (e.g. IHF).

Author Response

  • All references are okay in the downloaded manuscript. ’Error! Reference source not found’ are not found in the manuscript.
  • The acronyms have been corrected
