Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

You should explain in more detail how you obtained the thermodynamic values related to adsorption.

You should submit zero point load studies for the adsorbent.

Should present results of more than one adsorption cycle after adsorbent recovery

You should change on line 213 DXR for XRD

You should translate the paragraph between lines 68 and 72

You should traducted  to english the paragraph between lines 68 and 72. Then at  line 213 you should change DXR for XRD

In this research, the new porous adsorbent material BENEFEP spheres for the removal of arsenic(â…¤) from natural water was proposed and synthesized. Its properties and effectiveness were properly tested, which was indicated as a promising adsorbent for application. In general, the methods and test results were described properly, but there were some issues. Moreover, the discussion of the shortcomings and improvements was not shown in this study.

The following are specific comments:

1. Title: “Adsorbent” instead of “AdsorbAent”?

2. Line6872: The language of this paragraph should be translated into English.

3. The Materials and Methods section: The method for natural water sample test was not introduced in the method section. How many river samples were tested?

4. Line219248: The content of the figure is not fully displayed, and the directional indication of the synthesis process could be shown more clearly.

5. Line 391393: The scale bar of figure 3 was not shown.

6. Line 438441: The font size of figure 7 was too small. What does the error bar stand for?

Round 2

Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript was better improved.

Here are some minor comments.

1. Line 233: The collected time of water sample was suggested to be added.

2. The scale bar of figure 3 (BENFEP-ZVI spheres synthesized in the present study) was suggested to shown, which could indicate the size of the spheres.
