The manuscript submitted for review addresses an important research problem, both from a scientific and practical point of view, concerning the development policies implemented in Jambi Province, Indonesia, since the New Order era.
Appropriate methodological assumptions were used to carry out the research and analyses. The relevant literature was selected and cited.
The aim of the undertaken research should be clarified, because currently the aim of the work is an analysis that is a means of achieving the goal, and not an end in itself. After specifying this point, please refer to the obtained research results in more detail in the Conclusions.

- The aim of the undertaken research should be clarified, because currently the aim of the work is an analysis that is a means of achieving the goal, and not an end in itself.
Response: Indeed, we have tried to mention the substantial aim of our study in the 10th paragraph of introduction part (Given the series of regional policies ……….). To make it clear, we have made additional sentence in the paragraph.
- Please refer to the obtained research results in more detail in the Conclusions.
Response: Additional paragraph in conclusion section has been made as well based on your suggestion.

1-Arrange the keywords in alphabetic order.
2- Introduction is very long, I think the author add another section “review of literature to divide the introduction section.
3- All references need correction, I think authors add the citation in superscripts from, change all references into normal text as numbered.
4- Author mentioned Land use land cover data for the year 2010 to 2020, but the data present in methods and results is for the year 2011 to 2020, change this data in correct order.
5-Methodoogy need correction in order and practical implementation, authors describe only the methods, the study need how this methods were applied by selection variables in this practical location.
6- Author need to further divide the section 3.3 according to the nature of results presented.
7- Figure 8 title should be change, the word spread should be changed to distribution. In the figure 8 the pie chart need improvement. It is blur.
8- Some references seems incomplete, please go through all the references, and complete some missing video. E.g DOI’s, publishing date.
9- Go through the title of figure and table once again and try to make improvement.
10- Some minor mistakes are found in English write-up which need to correct before publishing.

Response: Alphabetic order of keywords has been revised according to your correction.
- Introduction is very long, I think the author add another section “review of literature to divide the introduction section.
Response: Thank you so much for your suggestion, but it’s a bit difficult in our side to divide the introduction into background and literature review. The introduction part has been maintained to explain in chronological order the general stages of rural development policies in Indonesia, its implementation in Jambi Province, and its effect to the rural area of Jambi Province which underly our substantial and practical objectives.
- All references need correction, I think authors add the citation in superscripts from, change all references into normal text as numbered.

Response: Thank you so much for your concern. I assure that all the reference listed have included year of publication. MDPI uses the American Citation Style in which the year information will be enclosed around the end of the reference. This may cause some difficulty in quickly finding the year of publication. However, we also cite the Indonesian statistics web page which displays quantitative time series data that does not have a publication year description. Instead, we include web page links and access dates. As for DOI, unfortunately not all references have DOI. In this case, we left it without a DOI description.
- Go through the title of figure and table once again and try to make improvement.
