The journal retracts the article titled “Application of Symmetry Law in Numerical Modeling of Hydraulic Fracturing by Finite Element Method” [1], cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the Editorial Office’s attention regarding the authorship list, the accuracy of the authorship, and the validity of the findings presented in this article [1].
Adhering to our standard procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and Editorial Board. Here, the authors were unable to verify the accuracy of the authorship list, confirm the validity of authorship changes that occurred prior to publication, nor provide raw material for Editorial Board review.
As a result, the Editorial Board has lost confidence in the integrity of the findings and decided to retract this publication [1], as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Symmetry.
Dr. Afshin Davarpanah disagrees with the retraction, while the remaining authors did not provide a comment on this decision.
