Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The manuscript titled "Commercial opportunity or addressing unmet needs: Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) as the future of rapid diagnostic testing?" offers a thorough and insightful analysis of LAMP technology's commercial potential and its ability to address unmet needs in rapid diagnostic testing. It is highly relevant and timely, given the growing demand for rapid, accurate, and cost-effective diagnostic tools. The authors present a comprehensive review supported by robust references, detailing LAMP's mechanism, advantages, and limitations. The manuscript is well-structured and clearly written, making complex concepts accessible. The use of multiple graphs to present the data enhances the clarity and impact of the findings, allowing readers to visualize key points effectively. Overall, I believe this manuscript is a valuable contribution to the field in its current form.

I found this study to be comprehensive and interesting to read. The graphs have significantly aided in improving the clarity of results and facilitating communication of the concept to readers. I highly recommend this manuscript for publication in the Diagnostics journal.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The reviewed manuscript is dedicated to studying patents and clinical trials related to LAMP. The study itself is interesting and timely because LAMP attracts growing interest with increasing numbers of published scientific articles and patents. The quality of the text is good; all conclusions are supported by the presented data. Only a few minor issues need to be mentioned:

Several figures seem to be of low quality.

Page 9, line 248: T. Pallidum is not italicized.

Page 14, line 454 “Covid-19”

Page 15, line 486 “Sars-Cov-2”
