Study Limitations
- -
- No differentiation was made between sleep and awake bruxism in the patients in this study. The data processed were extracted from the dental chart, not from specific bruxism questionnaires.
- -
- Bruxism was not diagnosed by instrumental criteria of video-polysomnography or electromyography, because in the general dentistry office level, it is very difficult to do this.
- -
- No long-term evaluation of the subjects included in the study was made, as the study was cross-sectional and monocentric.
