Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The article is present evolution of semi-solid processes of an aluminium alloys. Describes the past, presence and potential future for usability this process in the industry according to improving of material properties and weight reduction due to better treatability and reduction of defects number.

It can be see that the author working in this field long time and communicate around the world with different companies and scientific research teams.

To the article I have only small notices:

reference 28 - it was studied all articles from this proceeding or only some of them regarding to aluminium alloys? The proceesding have a approximatelly 500 pages, reference 45 - it is not correctly written, misses other descriptions of this reference

reference 28 - it was studied all articles from this proceeding or only some of them regarding to aluminium alloys?

Thank you for pointing this out.

I have corrected reference 28 to relate to the whole volume of proceedings (see below):

28. Proceedings of the 15th International Conference on Semi-Solid of Alloys and Composites XV (S2P 2018), October 22-24, 2018, Shenzhen, China. https://www.scientific.net/SSP.285/book

The proceesding have a approximatelly 500 pages, reference 45 - it is not correctly written, misses other descriptions of this reference.

I have changed Reference 45. (see below). Is that more complete or am I still missing something?

45. Zhuhai Runxingtai Electric Appliance co. Ltd; the research and development for this technology was completed by a team in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing 100083, China (contact Mingfan Qi).

Reviewer 2 Report
