Reviewer 2 Report

The article is interesting for the potential reader. Here are some minor notes:

  1. Abstract should be a little shorter.
  2. Several articles should not be cited simultaneously.
  3. What is the cost of additional floor construction?
  4. The quality of the drawings should be better. 5. Cite articles from "Buildings" journal.

Reviewer 3 Report

Abstract

  • In the Abstract, the findings seem too simple. Example, it is quite clear that fire regulations should be considered before the construction stage since the buildings considered in the study used timber. It is suggested to include the key findings in the abstract.

Introduction

  • In the Introduction, some citations seem incorrect. For example,”Energy Roadmap 2050 should be European commission”

Research method

  • In the Research method, it would be good if you provide the profiles of the interviewees
  • Please present the details of the semi-structured questions.
  • This section needs substantial improvement.

Findings

  • The review should be conducted systematically and the papers should be chosen scientifically. It seems that the authors have selected the papers randomly.
  • the discussion section is not included. The findings should be discussed in light of the existing literature.

Conclusion

  • The authors make some conclusion without detailed analysis. Example, “Due to additional floors, which significantly increase 422 the floor area of the building but do not considerably affect the total energy consumption, the value of the property can be increased by up to 20-30%” how did you come up with this conclusion? you did not carry out analysis to arrive at the percentage of increment of the property value. The conclusions should be based on what has been analysed.
