The journal retracts the review article A Review on Building Design as a Biomedical System for Preventing COVID-19 Pandemic [1], cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the publisher’s attention regarding an overlap with previously published manuscripts [2,3] with a different authorship group.
Accordingly, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and Editorial Board, which confirmed the presence of extensive overlaps with the above-mentioned manuscripts. Following discussions, the authors requested the retraction of the article [1], following which the Editorial Office and Editorial Board agreed to the retraction as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Buildings.
