Reviewer 2 Report
The manuscript „Dirofilaria spp. and Angiostrongylus vasorum: current risk of spreading in Central and Northern Europe” provides information on the current epidemiological status in Central and Northern Europe among dogs.
In my opinion the review is well written. However I have few minor suggestions for the authors before publishing the article:
- In Dirofilaria part it would be beneficial to increase the section of epizootiological knowledge on Norway.
- In line 153 and 603 please use the italics when you mention the names of parasites.
- The authors have included the map about the distribution of Angiostrongylus vasorum in Central and Northern Europe. Should the authors prepare a similar map for Dirofilaria spp?

In Dirofilaria part it would be beneficial to increase the section of epizootiological knowledge on Norway.
Response: The Northern European part was modified.
In line 153 and 603 please use the italics when you mention the names of parasites.
Response: Done. Thank you!
The authors have included the map about the distribution of Angiostrongylus vasorum in Central and Northern Europe. Should the authors prepare a similar map for Dirofilaria spp?
Response: Thanks for this question. We prepared maps for the distribution of D. repens and D. immitis but the authors have different opinions about the definitions of different statuses (like endemic). Therefore, we decided to exclude the maps (Information is given in the main text).
