- V200: speed at which the heart rate reached 200 bpm;
- Vmax: maximum speed reached by the treadmill;
- time to fatigue: from the beginning of the first incremental step (7 m/s) to the end of the test;
- lactatemax: maximum plasma lactate concentration;
- HRmin: minimum heart rate at rest;
- HRmax: maximum heart rate reached during the test;
- HR1min: heart rate at 1 min post exercise during the recovery phase. The time point used to mark the end of exercise was the moment the speed was reduced on the treadmill. The time recorded by a chronometer during the treadmill test and the time superimposed on the ECG recording were matched, and the end of exercise was marked on the ECG;
- delta-HR: Difference between the maximum heart rate and the heart rate recorded at 1 min post exercise.
