Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This paper is clearly presented and easy to read. The purpose and methodology are well described and the results follow logically.

The topic is interesting and clearly of local importance but also serves as a valuable case study comparible with other sites. The results could clearly feed decision making and usefully provide a comparative measure between individual GSs.

Could be published as it is.

Comments on the Quality of English Language

English is very good, but there are still some minor grammatical mistakes, though these are not very serious. Maybe one final language edit may be appropriate, but not mandatory.

Author Response

Dear reviewer.

Thank you for your precious revisions and comments. As you suggested, we fixed the grammar of the manuscript, as you can verify in the reviewed version of the manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The submitted manuscript is well written, clear, informative and of great interest for readers interested in the themes of geotourism and geoheritage.

There is a complete description of the study area from the geographical, geological, geomorphological and cultural (mining) aspects, objectives are clearly stated and the methodology is also clear and complete. Results are well presented and discussed. The list of references is extensive and complete.

I only note few corrections and improvements to be made:

- There are some errors in the use of some terms (see annotated pdf) that should be taken into consideration to improve the clarity of the text.

- I would suggest that an example of the “simplified descriptive cards” for the sites that are indicated as an objective and a result of this study to be included as a figure within the text, and that the other cards should be available as a supplementary material.

Thanks
