Manuscript title: An Incrementally Deployment IP-Compatible-ICN Hierarchical Cache system
Manuscript ID: applsci-879642
Comments and suggestions:
- Current manuscript requires extensive English proofreads.
- In Abstract O(TB) is not defined. Authors are suggested to avoid using such terms in the abstract if cannot be further explained and defined.
- Line 11: “ICN” must be fully defined at its first occurrence in the manuscript.
- Authors are suggested to add few more recently related research articles to their related research section. Such as adding following works may be considered,
- Enabling the content dissemination through caching in the state-of-the-art sustainable information and communication technologies (Sustainable Cities and Society, 2020)
- Named Data Networking for Efficient IoT-based Disaster Management in a Smart Campus (Sustainability, 2020)
- An Effective Fairness Scheme for Named Data Networking (Electronics, 2020)
- Advancing the State of the Fog Computing to Enable 5G Network Technologies (Sensors, 2020)
- Two Optimization Algorithms for Name-Resolution Server Placement in Information-Centric Networking (Applied Sciences, 2020)
- EHCP: An Efficient Hybrid Content Placement Strategy in Named Data Networking Caching (IEEE Access, 2019)
- DCS: Distributed caching strategy at the edge of vehicular sensor networks in information-centric networking (Sensors, 2019)
- A Periodic Caching Strategy solution for Smart City in Information-Centric Internet of Things (Sustainability, 2018)
- In Figure 2: IC is missing in “ICN cache-supported router”.
- Properly align the mathematical equations.
- For better readability Left align the text of “Parameter” column of Table 1.
- Figure 6,7,8,9,10, 11, 12: Not Clear (seems like Screenshots) and no spacing between captions and paragraph.
- The full description of abbreviations like GNRS are missing.
