Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors evaluated current pharmacological interventions combined with kinds of stress management techniques for the pain control of clinical diagnosed with fibromyalgia. The methods used in the review was appropriate and the article is well written and easy to understand. The references are up-to-date and the most important studies have been cited. There are some minor revisions needed. In order to improve the understanding of these results, I have following suggestions:

  1. please remove the “Period” in the title
  2. To make more clear understanding of the results, could you please provide a table summary the effectiveness of the different interventions by comparing such as: sleeping, anxiety level, pain control…

Author Response

Dear reviewer,

We appreciate your evaluation of the manuscript and we value very positively the major and minor suggestions to enrich it.

In relation to the main points:

1) Regarding eliminating the "period" in the title, we propose: "Stress management as a clinical approach to the complementary treatment of fibromyalgia".

2) To make a clearer understanding of the results, a table has been added as an Appendix at the end of the article.

We especially appreciate your great review of the article. We have proceeded to review it completely and in detail. We hope it is of your consideration.

Very thankful.

Reviewer 2 Report

Literature review on an important topic for publication related to stress management as a clinical approach treatment in patients with fibromyalgia.

This study constitutes an advance in knowledge on the subject and demonstrates how the multidisciplinary intervention in healthcare contributes to improve the quality of life, social support, mental self-control and satisfaction, with reduced levels of anxiety, depression, pain and somatization and, consequently, less utilization of healthcare services. Thus, cognitive-behavioral therapy favored the therapeutic compliance, achieving, in turn, decreased levels of anxiety, depression and life exhaustion.

Clear introduction and definition of concepts. The results are presented in order to respond to the purpose of the review.

Clear, well-written review with well-described methodology. Good review structure.

In Keywords, the review must be added. The term randomized is repeated.

In Materials and Methods, the research period (January 2010 to July 2021) is not justified. It must be explained and reference must be made to the existence (or not) of any review dealing with the same topic, in the scientific evidence, which may have affected the selected period of time. The authors should improve the justification for the type of literature review they developed. They must, as well, add the bibliographic source that supports the type of literature review and justify it with this bibliographic source.

In Results, the authors indicate research question instead of review question, which must be corrected. The bibliographic source of the flow diagram is missing. This flow diagram must also be corrected in accordance with the Journal's rules, which is the PRISMA Statement.

All References need correction to comply with Journal standards. Reference 6 does not have the authors' names.

Congratulations
