Reviewer 2 Report

The articlr is very detailed and well written. I have made my comments below, and once they are addressed, they can be published.

Line 34: Why do you use the word 'maximum' here?

Lines 38-40: The statements are a bit vague with respect to 'increase in turbulence rate' - What does this actually mean?

Line 53: 1.2 times nozzle diameter in what direction? lateral?

Sec 2.1,2.2,2.3: Is there a requirement to explain all turbulence models in greater detail here, while these can be referred to a standard textbook on turbulence modelling - or even the ANSYS Fluent Theory guide.

Line 155: Calibrate or Validate?

Line 173: 'Downstream of it..' : these have to be marked in Figure 4 otherwise it is not clear.

Line 182: 'On the side opening B' - Where is B?

Figure 5: Is not clear, perhaps add another figure with a zoomed in view of this figure

Line 199: I presume you are using the pressure based method?

Line 203: Single slot analysis: Do you have grid convergence analysis to show? what was the tolerance you used? and how did the convergence looked like or different meshes? Without grid convergence, how confident are you with the results?

Line 236: Why is only TKE used to discuss heat transfer? What if the flow was laminar?

Figure 10: Why is the mesh clustered along the right symmetry plane?

Table 6: You have concluded that k-eps gives the best prediction of 'h'. But this was based on a single mesh. What's the confidence level when you double, or triple your mesh size?
