Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The work is interesting and very valuable as it contains an adequate analytical-theoretical development of the problem, a numerical modeling and an experimental verification.

Some improvements can be introduced:

  1. eliminate some unnecessary repetitions within the text;
  2. be careful not to confuse the Latin character 'w' with the Greek letter omega (angular velocity). A table of used symbols can help.
  3. the flow chart in figure 11 in my opinion should be completed. Since it contains the start block, it should also contain the arrow indicating the loop and possibly the stop condition.
  4. above all, it would be very interesting if the authors provided, in addition to the percentage indications on energy recovered, an absolute indication of the quantities of energy that can be recovered in some typical application. This would allow us to understand if the proposed system actually has applicative interest.

  1. Please specify the reference for Mason formula in & 3.3 page 9.
  2. The top text in figure 10 is partial (the Energy word). Please correct the figure.
  3. In figure 11 (page 12) the tex is italic, while in the rest is normal. Please recreate the figure with no italic characters.
  4. The figure 13 is on page 12, while the figure name is in page 13. Please correct this aspect.
  5. Please detail the steps of experimentals research.
  6. The figure 24 is on page 17, while the figure name is in page 18. Please correct this aspect.
