Effects of Supplementary Cementitious Materials and Curing Condition on Mechanical Properties of Ultra-High-Performance, Strain-Hardening Cementitious Composites
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Dear Authors,
I found your manuscript interesting. You put much effort into studies, used good methods, analysed obtained results in correct way. However, it is a must to rearrange and extend Introduction. It is also worth changing the order of giving some results. It is recommended to shorten the chapter ConcIusions. I have inserted my remarks into the text. Please, follow them.

The paper is good. The suggestion is to give sffitional information in part 2 - Experiments;
Energy Absorption Capacity - how it was measured/calculated - formulas, standards, methodics.

The authors are congratulated for the research they conducted and for the submitted manuscript. As a general comment: please try to avoid the use of comma (,) before words "and"& "but".
Table 1 - the mix proportions are expressed in a rather confusing manner. Please state the total amounts (in kg or liters) for each component of the mix proportion.
Lines 98-102 could be removed because the information they provide can easily be read from Table 2.
Line 143 - hatched area, instead of slashed region
Line 160 - why was the 5d curing period chosen? It is customary to chose either 7d, 14d or 28d or to assess the properties on a daily basis for the first 7 days of curing. Please provide some justification on the choice of 5d curing period.
Line 104 - Fig.1 shows the particle distribution. On the ordinate axis it should be written "Cumulative volume percentage".
Figure 1, Caption - Cumulative volume percentage and particle size distribution
Lines 145 and 153 - what do you understand by variable? Do you mean each of the mix proportions shown in Table 1?
Figure 4, Caption - I think that the wrong caption has been used.
Figure 9, Caption - It states "Figure 1"
Line 306 - please substitute "finally strengthened" by "improved"
Line 467 - the figures the authors are referring to might be 10a and 10b.
Table 4 and Fig. 17 - what does (ea) stand for? Please explain the consistently larger number of drops from the stress-strain graph compared to the number of cracks that was count.
