Literature review

1) Consider modifying the name of the section as "The changing role of facility management". What is the new role of FM?

2) Distinguished six different types of added value:
1. Use value 2. Customer user value 3. Economic, financial or exchange value 4. Social value 5. Environmental value 6. Relationship value. Any objective prioritization of the different added value types? Any objective analysis of added values before? If no, any reasons for that. Literature review on this part may be required.

3) Where is figure 3 of line 197?

4) 2.4 literature review repeated

5) Any inter-relationship within the influential factors?

Research method

1) The added value of occupancy sensing from a facility management perspective is obtained through qualitative research by conducting interviews with providers, users and an organisation. The author is suggested to incorporate more details of the research design of the interview.

2) Any summary of the description of the interviews in a table format? such as details of the respondents, no. of questions, how long of the interviews, critical points of the interviewees to the questions, any similarities and differences of the opinions...

3) Not only a qualitative method but also a quantitative method such as questionnaire design and survey is beneficial to the study more objectively by statistics. Was any work done before? If no, any further reason for reference.

Analysis

1) 3.6 Is the analysis as an independent session?

2) Is the small sample size of respondents sufficient? It is difficult to prove the significance of the small sample size of respondents to the research finding.

3) A small sample size of respondents participated in the research only four providers, five users and one non-user. The result seems not too significant and generalised.

Discussion

1) 5. Conclusion and discussion should be separated

2) 5.3 Discussion is confusing with 5. discussion

3) Can the study link the occupancy sensing in the concept of sustainability of FM? eg any relationships with FM Outsourcing
