Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This MS reported the localizations of metabolites in fruits 26 by using mass spectrometry imaging. They found that the oleic acid accumulated to high levels in placenta and the biosynthesis of pectin was suppressed under drought stress but increased in seeds. They also proposed that under drought conditions, a shift to phospholipid biosynthesis occurs that protects seeds from dehydration.  Its novelty maybe provide useful information for subsequent research, it is interesting.  In addition, the author writes very seriously, with several minor errors in the reference, please check it.
