The title is very general and does not reflect the content of the manuscript. It is better to include the word "economic aspects" to make the title match the content.

The manuscript focuses mainly on production and its changes, rather than on recent trends in trout production. The points that require more focus are the impacts of using alternatives to diet ingredients (e.g. fishmeal and fish oil) on performance and wellbeing. 

Write a paragraph about future applications in the production of trout, from the stage of eggs and larvae to the stages of the broodstock. 

Line 38: It would be useful to show these species, their global production, and the largest producer in a table.

Lines 42-43: Indicate which year.

Figure 1: remove the background to make it clear

Table 2: Check the title of column 2 "Export". Also, specify the year in the title of Table No. 2

Line 194: Please make a table of the most recent 2018-2022 research on replacing fishmeal with plant or other protein sources such as algae. I suggest that the table include the protein source, input ratios, effects, and reference. Likewise for fish oil.

               The work "Recent Trends in the Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) Sector" presented to me for evaluation is a review.

               It covers the issue of the demand, production and sale of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in Italy. The content of the work is a valuable contribution to the literature on the subject, as it collects the latest data from recent years.

               Recognizing the demand for fish meat, obtaining them in the wild and, in addition, production in artificial conditions is an important topic in the context of global population growth, food quality and potential production possibilities.

               Due to the review nature of the work, it contains information collected by the authors on the basis of available literature, both scientific and typically related to production. The data is presented on the basis of the applicable legal standards.

               The work allows the reader to get acquainted with the latest trends in production, which are presented against the background of other countries. I believe that this type of work as a review is a good compilation of up-to-date data and should be published. It may constitute an information base for future typically research and experimental works.
