Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The contents of the paper are so interesting and deserve to be published. but there are some notes which should be considered before publishing

what is the aim of the present study,

improve the quality of Fig. 1 and Fig. 6,

Pls improve the references section

how does the authors consider the effect of the other particles during irradiation? (gamma, etc.)

pls improve the English of the paper.

why do the authors uses self citing in the paper, pls remove some of the references and add different articles

Reviewer 2 Report

I found this article interesting and fill the interest from readers.

Two things  have to clarified. The atmospheric neutrons are created  by two processes: high energy particles from the space and are the part of the solar wind.  The  latter should be discussed in the article.

The neutron source used in this study   has some  spread  of the energy . Look through, for instance, https://doi.org/10.1016/0020-708X(84)90235-7

This has to be commented  in part connected with Geant4 simulation.

Also ? a comparison of Monte-Carlo simulation results by GEANT4 and MCNP would be interesting, or at least commented.
