THE PAPER IS GOOD AND PRESENTS NEW STUDY WITH FEW NEW PERSPECTIVE. HOWEVER IT NEEDS EXTENSIVE ENGLISH EDITING FOR SYNTAX, GRAMMER AND BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE PAPER.
PROVIDE THE SUPPLEMENTARY FILES FOR HPLC METHOD AND LC MS MS
major revisions with english language
Author Response

Dear authors,
After the review process, I have several comments: the paper should be arranged in the journal format - see the reference style; the introduction should be updated, you should include data related to the bioavailability of major functional compounds; from table 4, you should include statistical data; table 2 is not in the corrected format; figure 2 could be moved as supplementary files; comments related to the bioactive potential of functional extracts and bioavailability of phenolic compounds should be included in discussions; the relation with microbiota bioactivity could have a target at the future valorization of the paper; negative points could be included in discussions.
Best regards!
In general, it is ok. Only minor modifications.

This is an interesting study important from practical point of view. However, the study contains some shortness’s which need to be answered. Numerous editorial issues also requires a lot of attention.

We used cell lines purchased from America Type Culture Collection (Manassas, VA) stored in liquid nitrogen.
Line 172 – what was post-hoc test used in ANOVA?
Duncan test
Figure 2 – please add scale bar
In Figure 2, the scala bar could not be shown because it was a morphologically visual microscopic image. Quantitative information is shown in Figure 3.

The comments from the discussion are poor in details and no references. It is necessary to improve the section and conclusions.
Best regards!
Only minor modifications observed.

Dear Reviewer
thank you,
The introduction part was supported and the relevant references were added.
In the discussion part, information about phenolic substances and microbiota was given with references. Necessary changes were made in the Conclusions section.
Round 3
Reviewer 3 Report
Dear authors,
Several modifications should be made for figures, for example, figure 1 - A549 is not necessary, and all details in the figure legend; figure 3, 5 - the same comment; what means the table under figure 5? Is not necessary this format, figure or table for the same data; the number of references in the comments from the discussion is very low, it should increase with new relevant references at past comments.
Best regards!
Author Response
Dear reviewer
1-figure 1 removed from the article on your suggestion
2-The difference between figure 3 and figure 5 is that. In figure 3 we explain apoptotic cell death, in figure 5 we explain that the cell cycle stops in S phase
3-Upon your suggestion, the tables under figure 3 and figure 5 were removed.
4-Upon your suggestion, the references in the discussion section have been increased on the subject.
Best regards
